For The Perfect Design
Several things make up creativity. One of the
most common amongst these is design. Though the term is
typically used in the context of creative endeavors, it is, in
fact, multi faceted. Generally used in terms of engineering,
applied arts or architecture, design is something which
surrounds our life in every way. In fact, design is the extra
ingredient which makes things more appealing and
functional.
Design has several aesthetic functions which are usually a
result of research, modeling, and inspiration. Design in case
of individuals can be of two kinds. For some, design can be
something which comes naturally, while for others, it is
something to be strived for with the help of adequate training.
To design, one has to consider a variety of factors, such as
the aesthetics involved, the functional considerations, and
other aspects of the object or process in question. To create
successful designs, a fair amount of thought, research,
interactive adjustment, modeling, and redesign is required.
The principles of design to be used will, of course, depend on
the project at hand which may be of architectural, automotive,
machinery, and/or computer development. All of these are
scientific in nature, and therefore, also hope to achieve
different results as opposed to communicative design which
includes designs applied to magazines, advertisements, books,
and websites, amongst others.
For communicative designs, there has to be a specific focal
point. This type of design usually calls for simplicity, free
of clutter. The theme or the element for which it is used also
has to be represented perfectly. It is also expected to be both
functional as well as consisting of visual hierarchy. The depth
and the contrast of the design are created with the use of
different sizes, colors and textures and types.
But, before creating any kind of design, one has to be
absolutely certain about what exactly it is meant to represent,
and ensure it represents the same perfectly. One also needs to
understand its usage, audience, goals, and, of course, focus.
An ideal design would portray both imagination and emotion, and
should be able to attract audience and elicit response and
recall.
